About Mount Edward Winery, in the operator's words
Our passion is crafting wines that are delicious, textural, and effortlessly drinkable. From Pinot Noir to Gamay, Chardonnay to Chenin, our small-batch wines come from five BioGro certified organic estate vineyards across Central Otago, each expressing a true sense of place.
Our cellar door offers a relaxed and welcoming way to experience this firsthand. Choose from guided tastings that explore our core range, or settle in for a deeper dive into single vineyard wines and limited releases. Each tasting is designed to connect you with the land, the people, and the stories behind every bottle. We also offer a curated tapas menu to pair alongside the wines: food that is seasonal, thoughtful, and local.
Still proudly family-owned, we take a minimal intervention approach to our winemaking. No fining, no filtration, and no unnecessary additions, allowing the vineyard to speak clearly in every glass.
“Grow Your Own Way” is our philosophy - care for the land, good company, and wines made to be enjoyed.
