Mozzarella & Co. is a Mediterranean restaurant inside voco Queenstown, built around a wood-fired oven and an open kitchen that never really switches off. Small plates, large plates, pizza, handmade pasta — all made for the middle of the table. Order a few things, pass them around, order a few more.

We work closely with Central Otago growers, fishers, and producers, so the menu moves with the seasons and always tastes like where it’s from. The wine list follows the same lead, weighted toward Central Otago names worth getting to know.

Led by Executive Chef Matias, who grew up between two worlds — one side of his family carrying the traditions of Buenos Aires, Italian and Spanish roots, fresh pasta and generous family meals as a matter of course. The other introducing him to the Eastern Mediterranean and the Levant. Two very different ways of cooking, both learned before he was old enough to know he was learning them. He moved to Queenstown in 2016, and years spent cooking through the region’s best kitchens are what led him here.

That mix is exactly what you’ll find on the menu — Mediterranean flavour, Italian technique, and Central Otago produce, cooked the way he was taught to eat: a few things for the table, shared, unhurried.
